In the hollow of the Chambon valley, it is at the Lac de la Touche-Poupard that water sports enthusiasts can indulge in their favorite activities! Catamaran Hobbie Bravo, Canoe, Optimist… There’s something for everyone! Internships and discovery sessions are also offered at the nautical base located at a place called Lachereau.

This valley offers you a beautiful family walk. Our advice, stop at the edge of the stream, close your eyes and listen to the lapping of the water, the song of the birds, or the wind rushing through the trees… No doubt, you are in paradise, no doubt about it !

Walks

If your sneakers are still asking for more, the circuit “Le plan d’eau du Soleil Levant” departing from Clavé, in Gâtine, 10 km north of Saint-Maixent-l’École, will allow you to reach the dam of La Touche -Poupard.
This reservoir of 15 million cubic meters of water is a preserved site for local biodiversity. Fishing areas, orientation tables and picnic tables complete the hiking offer of the place! An invitation to contemplation.
