Course 8 in Azay-le-Brûlé, starting from the cemetery, is the longest and most complete in the commune. The first 10 km, shared with route 6, offer a gradual warm-up through Chamiers, Cerzeau and the Chambon valley, past the Bedanne mill and Pont Romain, before reaching Puyblain.
The route then becomes more demanding, with a succession of steep climbs, long panoramic descents over the villages of Augé and more technical sections, notably in undergrowth and on a scree slope.
