La Côte-Belet

  • From the top of its 117 metres, the hillock of La Côte-Belet offers an astonishing panorama of the surrounding countryside. Its slopes, partly planted with vines, are home to rare and threatened vegetation: dry grasslands.
    They are home to a remarkable biodiversity, with no less than twenty species of wild orchids!

    The site is managed by the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels, whose aim is to preserve this environment and to encourage the development of heritage species.

    A pathway with educational panels allows you to discover this preserved site, which is registered as a Sensitive Natural Area on a departmental scale. Also worth discovering: the Feuille de Vigne trail starting from the centre of Pamproux or the Tèrra Aventura trail.
