The old church, built in the Middle Ages, more precisely in the 12th century, was located behind the town hall, on an adjoining plot of land that had become private.
Partly destroyed by fire during the Wars of Religion, the nave of the Notre Dame church was rebuilt between 1656 and 1658 thanks to the generosity of François Chevalier, Lord of La Frapinière.
Some remains, such as door frames, are still visible in the walls of the outbuildings of this property.
