Le Pont de Pallu

The bridge of Pallu, on the Roman road, spans the Sèvre Niortaise, making the junction between the town of Saint-Maixent-l’école and Nanteuil. This 50-meter footbridge, made of flat limestone slabs, was once a place of passage in the direction of many mills.
The mules passed laden with grain, in the direction of La Rochelle and returned laden with salt.
